Symbols and properties
PrimaLoft®
The footwear has PrimaLoft® thermal insulation, which is made with 90% recycled materials. Water repellent, breathable and very light, PrimaLoft® thermal insulation keeps your feet dry in all conditions.
GORE-TEX
GORE-TEX lining is a unique waterproof lining material that allows the feet to breathe while keeping the moisture out of the footwear. This is the only membrane structure on the market systematically tested for its functionality and comfort.
FlexEnergy®
The flexible FlexEnergy® component is integrated in the entire heel part of the shoe and provides maximum shock absorption of kinetic energy, with more than 55 % of the energy returned to you. The component is made of BASF’s TPU Infinergy® material, the world’s first expanded thermoplastic polyurethane.
ESD
Through its sole construction, ESD footwear provides a safe and controlled method of discharging the body’s static electricity. The resistance limits 100 kΩ - 35 MΩ for the Sievi ESD footwear are stricter than for antistatic footwear (IEC 61340-5-1). Wearing ESD footwear can help you avoid damage to sensitive electronic equipment.
BOA® Fit System + hook-and-loop
The BOA® Fit System delivers micro-adjustable precision fit, engineered to perform in the toughest conditions. BOA® Fit System consists of three integral parts: a micro-adjustable dial, a super-strong lightweight lace and low friction lace guides.
DryStep® footbed
The surface material of the DryStep® insole effectively transfers moisture away from the foot. DryStep®'s unique ventilation and pump action keeps your feet dry and comfortable.
SieviAir®
Developed and patented by Sievi, the SieviAir® system dissipates the moisture generated as the feet warm up through exhalation channels in the side of the sole. The insole is perforated and has a filter underneath, which is connected to the flow channels. With every step you take the filter is compressed, returning to its original shape when the foot is lifted. This movement produces a pumping action, improving the ventilation of the shoe.
3D-dry®
The 3D-dry® lining, developed by Sievi, transfers moisture away from the foot to the second layer of the lining material and further through the upper and away from the footwear.
FlexStep®
The microporous FlexStep® sole material developed by Sievi maintains its excellent shock absorption and flexibility in freezing conditions. The structure of the FlexStep®flexible sole prevents strain on the feet and spine and absorbs shocks. The FlexStep® sole is used in all PU-soled Sievi footwear.
TractionPro®
Sievi TractionPro® is a sturdy friction sole that gives stronger grip on slippery surfaces. The unique sticky rubber sole, together with the FlexStep® interlayer, developed by Sievi, ensure that the sole remains flexible in all conditions. The Sievi TractionPro® sole's structure and design, with its deep and sharp-edged tread profile, are designed to maximise friction and maintain grip on different surfaces. UK Design No. 6227543 UK Design No. 6227544
SieviBalance® torsional stiffener
SieviBalance® torsional stiffener improves the rotational rigidity of the footwear and control of the foot, which reduces strain to the ankles.
Therm-ic Bluetooth®
Footwear equipped with the integrated Thermo heating system keeps your feet warm even in the most extreme conditions. Therm-ic Bluetooth® heating system can be paired with the Therm-ic app on your smartphone to provide a full overview of temperature, battery status and thermal settings. The rechargeable heating system provides heating for up to 22 hours (1st setting) with one charge.
Firefighter boot
The fireman symbol ensures that the boots fulfill the requirements of the fire footwear standard EN 15090:2012: F1 P A.
Chainsaw protection
These shoes protect the user against chainsaw cuts and meet the Class 2 requirements of the EN ISO 17249:2013 standard for safety footwear with resistance to chainsaw cutting.
Welding boot
The flame symbol indicates that the footwear meets the requirements of the welding standard EN ISO 20349-2:2017 and protects against heat and splashes of molten metal.
Steel
The toecap protects toes from falling objects and compression. Meets the requirements of the EN ISO 20345:2022 standard: shock resistance is 200 J and resistance to compression 15000 N.
Composite
The toecap protects toes from falling objects and compression. Meets the requirements of the EN ISO 20345:2022 standard: shock resistance is 200 J and resistance to compression 15 000 N. The composite material toecap is completely metal free and insulates well against heat and cold.
Aluminium
The toecap protects toes from falling objects and compression. Meets the requirements of the EN ISO 20345:2022 standard: shock resistance is 200 J and resistance to compression 15 000 N. The aluminium toe cap is 50 % lighter than conventional steel toecaps.
Steel
The steel midsole prevents sharp objects from penetrating the sole. Meets the requirements of the EN ISO 20345:2022 standard: resistance to nail penetration is 1100 N.
Composite PL
The perforation resistance meets EN ISO 20345:2022 requirements: the perforation resistance is 1100 N. The perforation resistant midsole is tested with a 4.5 mm conical nail. Steel, however, gives greater perforation resistance, which is why Sievi recommends a midsole made of steel or the PS composite textile for more demanding conditions (e.g. the construction industry).
Composite PS
The perforation resistance meets EN ISO 20345:2022 requirements: the perforation resistance is 1100 N. The perforation resistant midsole is tested with a 3 mm conical nail.
Oil resistant outsole
The footwear sole resists oil and many chemicals. The oil resistance of Sievi footwear meets the requirements of the EN ISO 20345:2022 standard.
Antistatic
Antistatic footwear releases in a controlled manner static electricity accumulated in the body. The resistance limits are 100 kΩ - 1000 MΩ.
Water repellent upper
The upper material used in this footwear is water repellent. Its water resistance meets the requirements of the EN ISO 20345:2022 standard.
Shock-absorbing heel
Shock-absorption of the heel is a requirement of EN ISO 20345:2022 and EN ISO 20347:2022 standards: the shock absorption of the footwear must be at least 20 J. In all Sievi footwear the cushioning effect is guaranteed by the use of FlexStep® sole material, see FlexStep® for more information.
Warm lining
The footwear is suitable for cold conditions. Depending on the model, the insulating material is lamb’s wool, artificial fur or PrimaLoft® insulation.
Heat resistance HRO
The footwear can be worn in hot environments. Sievi’s nitrile rubber sole withstands temperatures up to 300 °C.

Sievi Spike®
The stud mechanism integrated in the sole structure of the boot allows the studs to be turned in and out without removing the boots.
Ankle protection AN
The safety shoe has reinforced ankle protection inserts on both sides to protect the ankle from side impacts and strains. The level of protection for the ankle meets the requirements of the safety footwear standard EN ISO 20345:2022 regarding impacts to the outside of the ankle. To meet the standard, average impact force must not exceed 10 kN during testing and no single value should be greater than 15 kN.
Memory foam ankle protection
The ankle has PORON XRD® support (Lazer Roller High+) or viscoelastic memory foam that moulds itself to the wearer's foot, supporting the ankle and absorbing shocks.
